Autonomous Goal-Runs

An autonomous goal-run lets you hand CodeSky a larger goal and let it work toward it on its own. You stay in control with a live view of progress and the ability to pause, resume, or cancel at any time.

What is a goal-run?

Instead of guiding every step yourself, you describe a bigger outcome you want, and CodeSky breaks it down and works through it automatically. It is ideal for ambitious changes that involve several steps, letting you step back while the work gets done.

Starting a run

Getting started is straightforward:

  1. Describe your goal in plain language, what you want the finished result to be.
  2. Review the estimate. Before anything begins, CodeSky shows you an estimate of the work involved.
  3. Approve it to start. Nothing runs until you give the go-ahead, so there are no surprises.

Once approved, the run begins and you can watch it unfold.

Watching live progress

While a goal-run is active, you see live progress as CodeSky moves through the work. You can follow what it is doing at each stage and get a sense of how far along it is, all in plain language.

Staying in control

You are always in charge of an active run:

  • Pause to stop temporarily, for example to think something over.
  • Resume to continue right where it left off.
  • Cancel to stop the run entirely if your plans change.

These controls mean you can let the AI work without ever losing oversight.

Getting notified

You do not have to sit and watch the whole time. When the run finishes, CodeSky notifies you so you can come back and review the result. This makes goal-runs a great fit for longer tasks you want to start and check on later.

Tips for good goal-runs

  • Be clear about the outcome. Describe the finished result, not every step.
  • Review the estimate before approving so you know what to expect.
  • Check in occasionally using the live progress view.
  • Review the result when you are notified, then refine with follow-up requests if needed.
